How the return of Manziel sparked a flame for the Browns

Johnny Manziel's infante return to the football field as a started rocked the NFL news these last weeks. Although his performance was worse than expected, it still was a positive for the NFL and the Cleveland Browns.

Although Sunday's game was away, the Browns hold and game viewing in their clubhouse, that holds about 1,000 people. For the first time this season it was sold out just to watch Johnny Manziel take the feild. An average seat costs about $56 dollars. For front row seats you're talking about $138 dollars. For a game on a screen that's crazy.

As this Sunday approaches and the Browns are home, their ticket sales are rising just to see the young star take the feild.

I think this is crazy how one player can impact a whole city.

  1. I do not get how a player that was mostly a backup QB can generate so much news and higher ticket prices, especially when he plays poorly. Johnny Football will eventually fade into nothingness and so will the Cleveland Browns. If Manziel keeps playing like this and cannot make it into the playoffs, the Browns will just continue being a money pit for Cleveland

  2. Do you think that his poor performance will destroy his reputation given to him by the city?

  3. The reason why so many people pay to see Johnny Manziel play is because he is an exciting player to watch. This is great for the Cleveland Browns owners who are rolling in the dough from all the extra fans coming to see Johnny Football play, but it is bad for the Cleveland organization as a whole. I don't think Johnny Manziel will ever be a good quarterback in the NFL who can win games for his team. He was great in college, but the NFL is a completely different game. Throughout his career, he will always draw fans in, but I don't ever see him being a great NFL quarterback who can consistently win games.

  4. Johnny Manziel still needs time to mature as an NFL quarterback. In college he had the skill and athleticism to just do whatever he wanted on the field. The NFL is much different than college. The pace of the game and style of the game is so much different. People need to relax and let the guy adjust. I do not find it surprising that ticket sales soared on the day he was making his debut. Johnny Football is an exciting player to watch.

  5. Johnny Manziel was good in college but not so much in the NFL, being good in the NFL is so much harder than it is in college. In college football all you need to do is be athletic, but in the NFL you need to be smart, Skilled, and Athletic. Sorry Justin but Johnny Manziel will never be successful in the NFL.

  6. This publicity can only be good for the economy and sales that surround the team.
